Youth Radio Eats is a food journal produced by downtown Oakland's Youth Radio interns, who work hands-on to make healthy and delicious food, research community food related actions, and explore and produce information about food from a youth perspective. Youth Radio Eats also works with community partners such as the HOPE Collaborative to provide advocacy, drive policy change, and create lasting community changes around how the environment influences healthy lifestyles.

Pass the Thankfull

Hello readers , I hope your week is going fabulous and stress free. It's crazy how the holidays just snuck up on us like this. Im sure thousands of people are already planning huge extravagant dinner parties but how can you help others this holiday? There are many options such as canned food drive's , donating your time at a local soup kitchen or shelter. If volunteering isn't your thing try reaching out to a neighbor or distant relative by inviting them to participate with your family this holiday. Even though thanksgiving has a checkered passed the message is sharing. So remember the little people this season because who knows when the tides will change.
