Have you ever noticed how many advertisements are out there. The list is endless. Huge billboards tower over freeways and line neighborhood streets. It seems impossible to escape commercials nowadays. They seem harmless but some of the messages that are promoted can cause harm. Most lower income neighborhoods are saturated with fast food and beverage advertisements.
Living in a community where healthy food is not only inaccessible but under advertised causes an unhealthy diet. I believe our government should promote healthier options as much as they allow large corporations to promote there products. This way the market is still free but we have a political figures promoting our well being instead of a cartoon telling us how cheesy it really is. Also it is the companies duty to create products that better our life's not shorten them.

I totally agree! people in our communities are not fully aware of their options and our government should be providing more information via media and also by contributing to the accessibility of healthier choices.
fast food is advertise so that kids in our community would want it sometimes because of the toys that come with it, or parents are unaware that fast food everyday is not totally healthy for they child, which they are not getting the right nutrients.
